About Me

I'm Mimi, also known as MysticMismagius. You most likely know me from messing around on the ToS Discord server, or from my various ToS2-related projects like Role Icon Recolors and The Statistical Balance of All Any. I'm also a writer and literature student (as well as an amateur web developer, as you can tell by my very 2010s website design). I fell in love with the world and characters of ToS when I started reading the official lore in 2017, after the Coven Expansion had just released. While the folks at BMG clearly aren't writers, the care and love they put into their world created a truly captivating experience with tons of charm.

It was always sad to see that the ToS lore never received another update, and now that BMG is gone, it probably never will. I've spent the past seven years imagining how the story of Salem would continue after The Mysterious Being. I've been awaiting the development of the Coven Leader's quest to take revenge on Salem, the promises used to manipulate the people who fight with her, the lives of those who hunt witches, the lore implications of ToS2's new roles, and the ultimate fates of the characters we've grown to love. Since BMG won't be writing ToS lore any time soon, why not take up the mantle and complete the narrative myself?

As we embark on this journey through the lore of ToS, expect a modernized version of the ToS official lore that strenghtens the narrative foundation built by BMG and extends the story to its completion. I'll be exploring some themes that BMG left as breadcrumbs for the reader, as well as some new ones that I think would be interesting or add to the overall narrative. I'm also cleaning up that Christmas filler. Sorry, Santa. ;P

In undertaking the ToS2 Lore Rewrite Project, my goal is to recapture the charm of the official ToS lore, with the polish of a skilled writer. I hope BMG and DB both read and appreciate my tribute to their world. And above all else, I want this to be fun-- both as a creative project for me and as a literary experience for you! Let's enjoy the new world of Salem together!
